The bright light behind the Olympic Torch
The UK’s largest dedicated laser cutting facility was fully tested during the engineering and manufacturing of the 12,100 triangular gold-coloured torches. The apparently seamless torches were manufactured from a double skinned aluminium alloy, each perforated with 8,000 holes with a burner enclosed and fuelled by a gas canister.

Proud of our long-standing relationship with Bentley Motors, we have been commissioned for many years to supply Body in White vehicles – fully stretched and ready for paint. Our full vehicle bespoke service caters for the many variances during the manufacturing lifetime of the Arnage. We have currently supplied over 700 bespoke Arnage BIWs straight into their paint shops.
Improving Efficiencies at Ford Motor Car Company
We’ve recently collaborated with Meridian Automotive to improve the efficiency in the production of Ford Motor Car tailgate inners, specifically profiling pre-produced castings. Following a process of analysis, we developed a process utilising our multi-axis laser of cutting magnesium, mitigating all the associated hazards.
Committed to delivering quality, PGM’s unrelenting, continuous pursuit of excellence and improvement is endorsed by its Quality Approvals.
